This is one of noyb 101 complaints which were filed after the "Schrems II" judgement in Summer 2020. The judgement invalidated the EU-US data transfer mechanism "Privacy Shield". The cases were generated based on implemented Google Analytics or Facebook tracking code on websites by EU providers, which leads to unlawful data transfers to the United States.

Proceeding terminated by HUN DPA

Hungarian DPA terminated the proceeding in this case. The DPA found that personal data was transferred to the US without a legal basis. However, it took into account the "new circumstances" (EU-US Data Privacy Framework). According to the DPA the data transfer to the US is now lawful and since the original circumstances of the complaint no longer exist,circumstances of the complaint no longer exist, the Hungarian DPA terminated the proceeding.
