TikTok collects data on the activity of its users off the app without any legal basis. The data subject realised that TikTok gathered information on their activity off TikTok app including data on their use of Grindr, which constitutes sensitive personal data. This information was likely sourced from Appsflyer. A complaint was filed against all three companies for this unlawful practice.
