Online Advertising

Online Advertising
Advertising and data protection do not necessarily go hand in hand, as online advertising raises a number of privacy-related concerns: Personalized advertising often involves tracking a user across multiple websites, which can raise concerns about monitoring and profiling. Information about a single user is collected and often times shared with third-party advertisers and other entities. This collection and storage of personal data can ultimately lead to data breaches and the exposure of sensitive information. Most of the time, users simply have no control over the collection and use of their personal data for advertising purposes and may not be aware of the extent to which their personal information is being collected and used.
